BenefitsTechimp AQUILA has been expressly designed to be a robust and compact portable all-in-one PD detection station providing a full range of options ideal for on field applications. It can cope with the toughest outdoor conditions while taking measurements on any electrical asset. 15 years of service experience has been condensed in this unit integrating TECHIMP innovative PD detection technology with multiple connectivity (Wi-Fi, Fiber Optics, USB, Bluetooth) and power supply.
The battery-powered unit allows testing activities for up to 20 hours without auxiliary power available. The setup of the unit is simple and fast allowing for taking measurements within minutes.
The most outstanding feature is that it can be used for testing of MV and HV cables, power and distribution transformers, motors and generators, GIS and MV switchgearstogether with the right combination of sensors and filters.
AQUILA can be used to measure on-line and off-line any electrical asset at any level of voltage and for any voltage waveform. It can be also used to install a permanent monitoring system, maintaining the needed degree of safety. Connection via fiber optic allows a network of acquisition units to be checked in different measurement points.

PDBaseII® has been expressly designed as a system able to collect a large number of PD pulses and separate them according to their waveform.
In order to accomplish this task, PDBase II® hardware is equipped with an ultra-wide band digitizer and integrated processing capabilities. Thanks to its fast sampling rate (200 MS/s) and its on-board processing capabilities, a considerable number of digitized PD pulse waveforms are analyzed and pulse features are stored for a further processing leading to the final PD source identification.

FALCON is representing the latest state of the art technology for partial discharge monitoring (PDM) of MV assets, combining proven and patented technology from HV asset monitoring with economic requirements. FALCON is acquiring and processing high frequency PD signals locally detected by the sensors to which it is connected, whether inductive (HFCT), capacitive (TEV).
BenefitsCharacteristics
FALCON provides an economical solution for continuous monitoring of partial discharge in Medium Voltage equipment that allows to determine the deterioration if the insulation and thus, the eventual worsening of the health condition of the electrical asset before fatal breakdown. FALCON proposes a novel approach to the continuous monitoring of the PD phenomena occurring on an integrated network of Medium Voltage equipment.
Such approach is implemented by addressing the solutions to the requirements of the Medium Voltage grids in terms of non-invasive, low cost and fully automatic PD data acquisitions and elaboration, with the relevant assessment of the conditions of the Medium Voltage equipment.
With onboard computing power and data storage combined with a web-browser interface, the unit can be reached from anywhere in the network allowing to analyze PD data and historic trends with very low data traffic. Easy installation and auto-setting reduces significantly installation times. FALCON provides automatic acquisition and elaboration of PD data, as well as automatic noise rejection and the recognition of the increasing PD trend.
FALCON incorporates patented T/F-map technology. The hardware is provided with ultra-wide bandwidth acquisition system, which collects both PD pulse peak and phase, as well as PD pulse waveforms. The pulse waveform allows the information coming from the pulse shape to be employed. Per each acquired pulse the acquisition unit automatically calculates its time and frequency content, building the so called “T-F map”.
